"Wire stripping or sheath stripping" involves the cutting and removal
of the insulation on an electric conductor (wires, strands). Only stripping
tools, which are matched to the insulation and cross-section of the conductor,
may be used. It is only proper stripping of the sheath from the cable and clean
stripping of the insulation from the conductor that a high-quality, conductive
connection is guaranteed. The use of cable knives is not recommended in principle
because in these cases the stripping quality is entirely dependent on the manual
dexterity of the user. HAUPA stripping tools adjust themselves automatically
to the respective crosssection of the conductor and guarantee stripping results
which meet the DIN regulations. There is no chance of damage to the conductor.
