Mechanical crimping pliers for tubular cable lugs
Mechanical crimping tool characterised by its compact design. It is possible
to make crimps even in confined working conditions, where conventional large
tools cannot be used.
The mature construction of the drive has proven its reliability many times over
in practice. In this manual crimping tool very little wear can be seen even after
many years of use, this is decisive for the reliable repetition of the required
crimping depth. After all, today’s highly stressed crimped connections only
comply with safety regulations when the required electrical and mechanical
values are achieved over long periods.
Another safety aspect is that the crimping tool can only be detached from the
crimped lug when the required crimping depth has been reached. By turning
the wheel on the handle in an anti-clockwise direction the crimping inset can
be set in position on the lug. Only then does the actual crimping process begin
with the one-hand lever.
The quality of the crimped connection is dependent on the choice of cable lug,
the crimp inset and the correct choice of cable cross section.
